2011 MAMA Awards

I'm not a big fan of the whole KPOP music scene. Sure there are songs that are catchy but for me, they are changeable like clothes. Example, I would be listening to a favourite song from Super Junior today but tomorrow, a song from let's say 2PM.

I do listen to Kpop songs because they're okay given that I have my favourite choice of songs to listen to. Evanescence, Tokio Hotel, Breaking Benjamin, Late Night Alumni, Kaskade... Well no specific genre, just songs that I prefer...

Today the 29th, Singapore hosted the much talked about awards show from Korea, the 2011 MAMA Awards. So I was at home and sort of having a lazy day, I told myself why not watch it. I mean, I always watch shows like Running Man, when I was in Poly, my classmates always talk about kpop that I eventually can identify most of them. It even starts from 5pm all the way till 10pm. There my evening is covered right?

OKAY FINE, I have another reason. I READ OH JI HO WAS COMING. I GOTTA WATCH OKAY.

So from the beginning till the end, I watched it with Mum. Yes, from start till the end.

THE THING that really makes me have such a HUGE REACTION was one unforgettable performance that I watch and how AMAZING in my honest opinion it was.

I AM AMAZED WITH 2NE1'S I AM THE BEST PERFORMANCE. There I said it. I'm sold.

Phenomenal, fabulous, fantastic and "W-O-W-tastic". I was watching the performance through television and already I can feel their overwhelming charisma, I don't think I can describe the emotions and feelings of those who were in the stadium. I would've gone crazy, shout and sang along out of tune and just, go bonkers.

As they have won Best Vocal Performance, they really do fit the title of the award they've earned. Yes, 2ne1 delivered.

MY MUM AGREES WITH ME - her reaction was, "Wow, Kakak, they very fierce eh?". Hohoho!

If I'm not wrong, their fans are called Blackjacks? Curious because I only know ELFs and SONEs (because they're always on twitter). Powerful performance, strong vocals... They delivered it with strong charisma, 'I'm The Best' just fits.

Whoooo~   I must say the MAMA Awards is definitely so grand, love the stage, the effects and everything. Wow~ Quality baby, quality.

Huhuhuhuhu....... I think this is where my rambling will end. Sorry if I don't sound coherent and all over the place. Until another kpop group have grabbed my attention like 2NE1 did, I'm most probably not going to blog much about Kpop music?

I'm sure many of you have your favourites tonight, this is mine :) Also my fluffy pillow and blanket that I cuddled in while watching. Oh yeah~

Married!

The first Granddaughter of the family from my dad's side is now MARRIED!

Given that she's the first from the dad's side, it is also the first for everyone of us in the clan. It was a different experience for me because it felt weird being a grown up and really experiencing these things...

But as always, there's a first for everything~ Huhu!

F1 & LP

One sad thing about F1 this year for me was that I was not feeling well. Despite all that, I should've eaten breakfast but I skipped it. So I went with an empty stomach. Queuing all day under the sun and only drinking sweet sugar waters, I (who was initially all the way to the front of the stage) had to forfeit my spot and moved to the back where I had space to stand and breathe.

Lesson: DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST DURING AN IMPORTANT CONCERT DAY.

However, despite all that, I still managed to catch the race with my very own eyes and also enjoy the concert. One good thing for me at concerts was that, no matter how faaaar back I stand, I can see well above all the heads in front of me. That's a blessing I really really appreciate from God :P Heh.

So, third, to add to the list of "How I am being lazy", the photos are not uniform in size and resolution as I uploaded it directly from my camera, Dad's camera (formerly mine) and Cellphone. 3 total different sources with different settings.

Hopefully this will not cause any serious damage in any sort of way. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Haven't blogged for quite a while have I? The last being the trip to Jurong East which consists of X-Men. Well, now that I'm back (for good maybe?), I'm here to blog about my family.
